...that is, “The quick brown fox jumps over a lazy dog,” by far the most well-known pangram. What’s a pangram, you ask? Quite simply, a pangram is a sentence that contains all letters of the alphabet.

Here’s my favorite:

Jelly-like above the high wire, six quaking pachyderms kept the climax of the extravaganza in a dazzling state of flux. (96 letters)

While we’re on the subject of word games, let’s talk about autograms, a self-referencing sentence that describes its letter content. For instance, “This sentence has five words.” These autograms are much more complex.
